Game Description

As usual, you take the bus to go home, but when you get off, you find yourself in the underworld and meet your deceased pet. Because you are wanted for trespassing into the underworld, cooperate with your pet partner to solve puzzles, unlock rooms and organs, find scattered return tickets across the map, and escape from a place where you don't belong. Be careful not to get caught or else you'll disappear forever.

Gameplay

  • Overlooking perspective (third person) puzzle game.
  • Cooperate to slove the pzzles to find the return ticket and elude the numerous patrols.
  • In the process of deciphering, recall the previous time with the pet.

Puzzle Example

Since this is a game about pets, I would like to incorporate activities between people and pets or depict pet behaviors in the development of game decryption. For example, 

  • Hamster exercise wheel, People and pets run together in the wheel to recharge the mechanism.
  • Laser pen, There are numerous dynamic obstacles on the floor of the room, The laser pen's light can halt the movement of obstacles on the floor.
  • Sofa destruction, Pets destroy sofas to find items hidden in sofa.

Grab the player's point

Nowadays, many games are less co-op and more one-player or PVP games. That's why It Takes Two could win the 2021 TGA Best Game Award. Gamers need games that they can enjoy with their friends and family. At the same time, there is no denying that pets can be a source of healing. I consider my game a success when players finish it and realize that their pets also need to spend time with them or receive cuddles.

Art thoughts

The environment design style of the game will give up the traditional stereotype of the horror of the underworld, and more reference will be made to the style of Zaun City in the War of Two Cities in the League of Legends animation, with a dark, rundown and mysterious feeling. The dark color and low light make people feel that the sunlight is impenetrable.
